Kaiwara Trek: Mythology, History, and Adventure
Kaiwara, a small village in Chikkaballapur, is historically known as Ekachakra Pura and is located about 65 km from Bengaluru. Famous for its mythological significance, Kaiwara is associated with the great poet Sri Yogi Kaiwara Narayana Taatha, who was a devotee of Lord Amara Narayana. This trek is steep and challenging, offering a thrilling adventure through rich history and sacred sites.
Key highlights of the trek include:
- Amara Narayana Temple: Known for its intricate architecture and four sculpted stone pillars.
- Bhima Lingeshwara Temple: A historical site where Bhima, from the Mahabharata, is said to have defeated the demon Bakasura.
- Vaikunta Caves: Believed to be the meditation spot of Thataiyya.
- The trek also takes you through Kailasha Giri, from where you can view the Ambaji Durga Cave Temples and Ananta Padmanabha Cave Temples.
- Kaiwara offers a perfect blend of history, spirituality, and stunning landscapes, making it an unforgettable experience for both history buffs and adventure seekers.

ITINERARY:
- 11:30 PM: Begin pick-up from Bangalore
- 05:30 AM: Arrive at Kaiwara base (for self-drivers, please arrive by this time)
- 05:45 AM: Begin the trek with an orientation by the guides
- 06:40 AM: Reach the summit and witness the breathtaking sunrise
- 08:30 AM: Start the descent
- 10:00 AM: Arrive back at the base and head back to Bangalore
- 11:30 AM: Refresh and enjoy a self-funded breakfast
- 01:00 PM: Return to Bangalore with drop-offs at the original pick-up locations

- Torch with new batteries (can use mobile light)
- Snacks (energy bars, chocolate, etc.)
- Warm clothes for cold weather
- Good trekking shoes
- Camera/DSLR (if desired)
- Extra cash for personal expenses
NOTES
- If permits for a particular trek are unavailable, an alternate trek will be provided.
- Refunds will not be initiated.
- Government-issued ID required for Trek Permit (Voter ID, Ration Card, Driving License, PAN, or Passport)
- Cleanliness is our priority. Do not litter.
- No luxury facilities, washrooms only at the hotel/homestay campsite
- Indemnification: You accept the risks involved in outdoor activities.
- Aranya Adventure is not responsible for any lost belongings.
Cancellation Policy:
- If you cancel 0-15 days before the trek, no refund will be given. The total cost is charged as a cancellation fee.
- If you cancel 15-30 days before the trek, 50% of the total cost will be deducted.
- In case of weather conditions or government restrictions, trips may be canceled, and no refund will be applicable.
- Once the permits are booked under your name, they cannot be refunded. If you postpone, the permit fee for the new date will have to be paid again.
